BRICS 2016: India, Brazil ink 4 Memorandum of Understanding in Goa

BRICS 2016: Opening new vistas in a strategic partnership, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Michel Temer of Brazil held delegation level talks on Monday and discussed a wide range of issues of mutual cooperation. Both the leaders witnessed the exchange of four cross sectoral Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) in Salcete, Goa on Sunday.

During the exchange of MoUs, Modi said India and Brazil are natural partners linked by democracy, rule of law and shared aspirations for development, peace and prosperity and Brazil is among the most important economic partners of India in Latin America. Modi further added that both nations have agreed to scale up engagement with mutual desire for a reinforced strategic partnership. Speaking on the menace of terrorism, Modi said,” We(India-Brazil) agreed that world must come together to fight this menace(terror) without distinction or discrimination. We deeply appreciate Brazil’s support for India’s actions in combating terrorism”.
